Account Information

When you create a stÖkd account or sign up for a free trial, we collect:

• Business name (optional)
• Account credentials (passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes, never in plaintext)

Personal Information

We may collect additional personal information that you voluntarily provide when you:

• Fill out a contact or intake form
• Book a discovery call
• Subscribe to our newsletter
• Make a payment via Stripe
• Interact with our chatbot

This information may include your name, email address, phone number, business name, and any other information you choose to provide.

Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain information about your device, including:

• Browser type
• Operating system
• Referring URLs
• Pages viewed
• Time and date of visits

Social Platform Data

When you connect your social media accounts (such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or Threads) to The Dashboard by stÖkd via OAuth, we access and store:

• Profile identifiers and account metadata
• Published content (posts, captions, media)
• Performance metrics (views, likes, comments, shares, reach, impressions)

This data is used exclusively to power your Dashboard analytics and generate performance insights. Each client's data is siloed via Row-Level Security (RLS) policies and is never aggregated with other clients' data, sold, or shared with third parties.

We will never use your social analytics data to train our AI models, improve our scoring systems, or benchmark your performance against other clients. Your data is yours — we are processors, not owners.

You may also upload social performance data via CSV for platforms without direct OAuth integration. The same data protections apply to uploaded data.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve The Dashboard by stÖkd and related services
• Process your account registration and manage your subscription
• Generate social media performance analytics and scoring
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Process payments and send billing notifications
• Send you service updates and, with your consent, marketing communications
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our platform
• Protect against fraud and unauthorized access

We will never use your data to:

• Train or improve our AI models, scoring algorithms, or any machine learning systems
• Benchmark your performance against other clients or sell aggregate insights derived from your data
• Target you with third-party advertising
• Sell, rent, or broker your information to any third party

Data Retention

Social media performance data stored in our systems (e.g., Google BigQuery) is retained for a maximum of 90 days after the end of your engagement or subscription, after which it is permanently deleted. Account information is retained as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services and comply with legal obligations.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with:

• Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist us in operating our platform (e.g., Stripe for payments, Google Cloud for data storage, Netlify for hosting)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Data Security & International Transfers

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, JWT-based session management, and Row-Level Security for client data isolation. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or Switzerland, please note that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers (Google Cloud Platform, Netlify) are located. By using our services, you consent to this transfer. We utilize Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and robust security measures to ensure your data remains protected.

How We Use AI Tools

We use AI-assisted tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AI Studio) to support elements of our work, including:

• content auditing and pattern detection
• ideation and concept development
• language refinement and clarity improvements
• workflow optimization
• research support using non-sensitive data

AI is used as an enhancement to our expertise, not a replacement for human judgment or strategic decision-making.

What Data We Do Not Use With AI

We do not input confidential, proprietary, or personally identifiable client information into AI tools unless we have explicit written permission.

This includes:

• account logins
• unpublished data or analytics
• private customer information
• internal documents or financials
• sensitive or regulated information

If AI assistance is used on client-provided materials, those materials are anonymized or de-identified to protect privacy.

Your Control + Consent

If you prefer that we do not use AI tools while working on your project, you may request an AI-free workflow at any time. This will not affect the quality of work delivered.

Ownership & Output

All final work produced for clients, including strategy, frameworks, writing, and systems, is human-led, custom-built, and owned by the client according to our contract. AI is used solely as an internal tool to support efficiency and exploration.

Data Deletion Instructions

In compliance with social platform requirements (including Facebook and LinkedIn), you have the right to request the deletion of your data.

To request the removal of your data from our systems:

1. Send an email to hello@stokesstrategy.com.
2. Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
3. In the body of the email, please identify the specific data or account integration you wish to be removed.

We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to Know: You have the right to request what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
• Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information.
• Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell your personal information. Therefore, we do not offer an opt-out mechanism for the sale of data.

In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information: Identifiers (name, email), Commercial Information (services purchased), and Internet Activity (website usage).

Your European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have certain data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data Processing Roles: When processing your social media analytics data on your behalf, you act as the Data Controller and STOKD STRATEGY LLC acts solely as a Data Processor. We process only the data you authorize, only for the purposes described in our agreement, and we do not retain it beyond the terms described above. Upon request, we will execute a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) incorporating Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to facilitate compliant international data transfers.

Legal Basis for Processing: We process your personal data under the following legal bases: (a) Your consent (for marketing); (b) Performance of a contract (delivering our services); and (c) Our legitimate interests (improving our services and analytics), provided these interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights.

You have the following rights:

• Right of Access: You can request copies of your personal data.
• Right to Rectification: You can request that we correct any inaccurate data.
• Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request that we erase your personal data under certain conditions.
• Right to Restrict Processing: You can request that we restrict the processing of your data.

• Right to Object: You can object to our processing of your personal data.
